This is a weekend for everyone to come together and to celebrate community. In addition to the main Croftathon running events, we’re releasing tickets for workshops including Eric’s famous Dance Fit class, Wendy’s amazing Winter Remedies, our series of Friday night talks, all with a tap to donate on site. We will have a licensed bar, poetry recitals, and Haggis. Neeps and Tatties and alongside there will be live music, baking, hula hooping and lots more to enjoy and support from Friday through Sunday. So, you can sign up to activities in advance, raise sponsorship, or just rock up and join in the fun, while supporting this important community asset.
Why we are doing this?
For twelve years, Leith Community Croft has been a place where Leith comes together: to grow food, learn skills, care for the land, and for each other.
Now, as economic pressures cut grassroots funding and costs increase, the Croft needs support to move into 2026 on a sustainable footing.
So, we’re doing what this community does best: coming together.
In January, we’ll wrap the Croft in a living, moving circle of love - through walking, running, rolling, baking, dancing, listening, and sharing food - and we aim to raise £10,000 to protect this vital space.

What is the: Croftathon?
We are bringing together a three-day, community-powered fundraiser inspired by backyard ultras, but reimagined for everyone.
The idea is simple: every lap around the Croft adds another layer of protection.
Our Collective Goal is 4,536 laps. One for every day the Croft’s parent organisation, Earth in Common, has existed.
-
Wheelchair laps encouraged
-
Fancy dress encouraged
-
Relay teams encouraged
-
One lap is enough to be part of it!
