About the Event

The City of Nature Challenge is an international citizen science event to increase data records of urban wildlife. Earth in Common & the RSPB would like to invite you to Leith Community Croft to have a look around our space and discover what insects and plants are around!

The aim is for fun, community building, moving around outside and generating a sense of awe in nature.

The information is to be recorded on an app called iNaturalist. On arrival please download iNaturalist (or download it before you arrive!). You will be shown how to use it by an RSPB instructor (simply take a picture of a plant or animal and submit it). ID guides, magnification lenses and pooters will be provided. This is not a requirement to participate, please come along regardless. All other resources will be supplied.

You can participate as an individual or as a family/friend/carer unit.

Activity is open to everyone but most suitable for children aged 4-12, accompanied by adults.

This activity is free to attend but we'd love if you considered donating to Earth in Common. Donate on-site or online here.
